How we work
How we write and source the lessons
Every lesson is built from publicly available information. If a claim can't be checked with a link to someone else's page, it doesn't go in.
Plain English
- Short sentences and everyday words.
- Every lesson opens with a two-sentence answer, then the detail.
- New words are explained the first time, and collected in the glossary.
Sources
- Every factual sentence has a numbered link to its source.
- First choice: laws, regulators, court records, standards, whitepapers and official documentation.
- Second choice: central banks, international bodies and established law firms and research teams.
- Never: anonymous blogs, influencers, AI-written pages or paywalled-only pages.
- Where we give our own opinion, it is labelled "Our view".
Made-up examples
Lessons use a made-up company, Brindlecove Labs, to show how things work. Any resemblance to a real company is accidental.
Keeping it current
- Each module shows the date it was last checked.
- Our build refuses to publish a factual paragraph without a source.
- Rules and tax change often; those modules are re-checked more often.
Not advice, not an endorsement
The Academy is general education. It is not financial, legal, tax or investment advice. Naming a company, project, regulator or person is not an endorsement, and none of them endorses us. Read the full terms and disclaimer.
