Intellectual Property & Acceptable Use

Last updated 6 August 2026 · Governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa · Operated by SP Global (Pty) Ltd.

1

We own everything in the Service

All software, source and object code, algorithms, models, designs, interfaces, text, graphics, data structures, and the overall "look and feel" of Deciphr are owned by SP Global (Pty) Ltd and protected by copyright, trade-secret, trademark, and other laws. Using the Service gives you no ownership of any of it.

2

Your license is limited

We grant you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable right to access and use the Service for your own internal business purposes, strictly under these terms. That is the only right you receive.

3

What you may not do

You must not, and must not help or permit anyone else to: copy, reproduce, mirror, frame, republish, or otherwise replicate any part of the Service; reverse-engineer, decompile, disassemble, or attempt to derive its source code, structure, or ideas; scrape, crawl, index, or harvest its data, content, or interfaces; create derivative or competing works; use the Service to build, train, or benchmark a competing product; or remove or obscure any proprietary notice.Replication, in whole or in part, by any means, is prohibited — including copying the design, workflows, or "look and feel." Each act of prohibited use is a separate, material breach.

4

Trade secrets & confidentiality

The Service embodies valuable trade secrets and confidential information. You will protect them with at least reasonable care and use them only as permitted here. Unauthorized access, use, or disclosure is a material breach.

5

Trademarks

"Deciphr," the Deciphr logo, and related names and marks are our trademarks. You receive no right to use them without our prior written consent.

6

Feedback

Any ideas, suggestions, or feedback you give us about the Service become ours to use freely and without restriction, with no obligation or payment to you.

7

Irreparable harm & injunctive relief

You agree that any breach of these IP or use terms would cause us irreparable harm that monetary damages cannot adequately remedy, and that we may seek immediate injunctive and equitable relief — including a temporary restraining order — in any court of competent jurisdiction, without needing to post a bond where the law permits, in addition to any other remedy available.

8

Monitoring, suspension & enforcement

We may monitor use to detect prohibited activity and may suspend or terminate your access immediately for any breach. We actively enforce our rights and will pursue every available remedy, including damages and recovery of enforcement costs where the law allows.

9

Reporting infringement

Think someone is copying the Service or infringing our rights? Tell us via our contact form. We also operate a notice-and-takedown process for infringement claims.

10

Reservation of rights

All rights not expressly granted to you are reserved by SP Global (Pty) Ltd. Our choice not to enforce a right is never a waiver of it.

11

Governing law & changes

These terms apply worldwide and are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of South Africa, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute, claim, or proceeding arising out of or relating to these terms will be brought exclusively before the competent courts of the Republic of South Africa. We may update these terms; the "last updated" date reflects the current version.
